STEP 1 / ENG
What goes in?
Mission and usage profile, vehicle class and reference vehicle, energy infrastructure, operating conditions and decision priorities.

BK-CVI / Forecast X.1 / Decision Intelligence
The future is not about choosing the best vehicle.
It is about choosing the best transport solution.

01 / Wrong Questions
Are we still optimizing yesterday’s decision models instead of understanding tomorrow’s transport ecosystems?
Not just collecting more data —
but asking the right management questions.

02 / From Vehicle to Transport Solution
Value is no longer created by the vehicle alone, but by the combination of mission profile, energy, infrastructure, availability and economics.

03 / Connected Decision Intelligence
TCO, residual value, charging infrastructure, telematics and aftersales each provide valuable insights — but only their intelligent combination enables better decisions.
Not one tool ...
but connected decision intelligence.

Illustrative concept chart. Displayed values and technology comparisons are examples, not validated operating results.
04 / What is Forecast X.1?
Forecast X.1 connects vehicle, mission, usage, infrastructure, economics and risk — and translates them into one decision framework for transport solutions.
BK-CVI – Commercial Vehicle Intelligence is Bodo Klein’s independent private think tank. It is not a project, a product, a start-up or a company. Forecast X.1 describes the Decision Intelligence approach explored within this think tank. The mock-up makes the approach tangible; validation with real-world data remains essential.
05 / The Mountain
From Vehicle Valuation and Vehicle as Asset to Transport Performance, Decision Intelligence, Truck as a Service and Transport as a Service.

The question defines the decision.
Different missions require different priorities, metrics and benchmarks.
06 / Inside the Forecast X.1 Tower
The Tower describes how data, context and know-how connect through quality,
intelligence, scenarios and decision logic — with human judgment, responsibility and control.

Conceptual architecture. The Tower describes the intended framework; it does not imply that every layer is implemented or validated in the current prototype.
07 / About the Initiator
More than 30 years in the automotive industry and more than 20 years in Commercial Vehicle Intelligence have shaped one conviction: the biggest challenge is no longer collecting more data — it is asking the right decision questions.
My career has taken me from vehicle sales and logistics through market intelligence, residual values, forecasting, valuation solutions and strategic consulting across European commercial vehicle markets.
Forecast X.1 brings these perspectives together in one independent think tank — from vehicle intelligence to transport decision intelligence.

08 / Mock-up in Action
The interactive mock-up translates the Forecast X.1 concept into a practical decision process.
STEP 1 / ENG
Mission and usage profile, vehicle class and reference vehicle, energy infrastructure, operating conditions and decision priorities.

STEP 4 / ENG
A transparent Solution Fit comparing the relevant technology options — including ranking, key decision criteria, confidence level and the recommended next step.

From operational requirements to a transparent, decision-ready recommendation.
Actual ENG v6 IAA views. Illustrative prototype results, not validated forecasts. HCV compares Diesel, LNG/Bio-LNG, BEV-Charge, BEV-Swap and H₂/FCEV. LCV / Light Truck currently compares Diesel and BEV-Charge only. Reference Vehicle Class extensions do not introduce unvalidated class-specific score adjustments.
09 / Let’s discuss a Proof of Concept
Bring a real transport mission. Let’s explore how the Forecast X.1 framework could support the decision — and what needs to be validated.
Forecast X.1 is currently being developed and validated with industry experts and potential PoC partners.
